Thinking of Owning?

Natural and Sustainable

Wood is by far, the most sustainable construction material. With the right management, not only are we making our homes look fabulous, we are making our contribution to the planet as well. Technology in woodworking has advanced and with the invention of engineered flooring, consumers now have a natural and sustainable solution to their floor covering needs. We supply an eco-friendly range of engineered flooring which is sourced from designated sustainable forests. These boards are created by adhering a veneer of beautiful hardwood from spices such as oak and walnut to a base core layer of plywood. Such construction offers both an affordable alternative to solid wood flooring and gives the board’s hardwood a better stability and the captivity against expanding and shrinking when facing changing humidity levels.

Compatibility Underfloor Heating

Underfloor heating is more popular than ever. It is gradually turning the look of white rusty corner radiator into a part of the history of home heating. Unlike solid floors, engineered flooring is much less susceptible to movement when exposed to changes in temperature, therefore making them compatible with underfloor heating is no doubt the future of efficient home heating. There are certain precautions you need to be aware of, and we have a detailed UFH guide here.

Easy to Clean & Care For

Carpet and wood flooring are two of the most common type of flooring materials here in the UK. Yet, the two are very different from one another. Carpet may be soft & quiet, but when comes to cleaning, it would be nearly impossible to clean fully as stains and dirt easily soak in the carpet and settle permanently. With dust and micro-bacteria trapped in the fibres, carpet is regarded as a poor flooring material choice for people who suffer from any allergies. Wood flooring, on the other hand, is much easier to clean. Vacuuming with a brush head would easily remove loose dirt and periodic damp-mopping with a wood cleaner will remove deeper dirt and most stains.

It’s an Investment

Wood flooring gets lots of respect from the estate agents and is often listed as a feature of the house. Unlike carpet and laminate, wood flooring is seen as being high-end and luxurious because the material is natural. Depending on the type of wood chosen and how it is finished, wood flooring can create unmistakable prestige as a flooring material and elevate the overall image of the property.
